You can refer your client for legal information and casework. We will assess the matter and, if we have the capacity to assist, we will reach out to the client. This assistance may involve one of our lawyers working with your client to resolve their issue. This may be by supporting them to handle the matter themselves or acting on their behalf, such as representing them at VCAT or negotiating with their rental provider.
Where suitable, the renter may instead be supported by one of Renter Rights Officers, who can provide them with one-off legal information relevant to their issue.
